Are you enraged?
did god force your knees to bend
or did you kneel down to pray?
The holy least that you could do
is just a guilt trip fire escape
that protest down the street,
they didn’t need you anyway
it can be so hard sometimes
when the children god adores
aren’t the cute kind of poor
when the life you’re pro about
isn’t white and unborn
but let’s give something a shot
we could say a litany
some wishful inactivity
but this can be your mission trip
the twenty dollar bill you slip
over that woven basket lip
‘cause you should always leave a tip
the holy least you could do
you didn’t even leave your pew
and look at all the difference that you’ve made
you’re what makes america so great!
Are you enraged?
the savages are looting
and it’s ruining your day
how dare that they destroy
that gorgeous gas station chain
they should arrest and jail the sorry lot
that thinks that that’s okay
I know it’s hard sometimes
they should hang those men for kneeling
at your favorite game
what statement are they making
if our horses can’t race?
I’ve got something we can try
this amendment says it here
that you can speak your fucking mind
but you can put them in their place
you can go and state your case
just twist the words of slavers
and make sure to hide that handsome face
this is the land of the free
now’s your time to be brave
and tell them all to go to hell
look at all the difference that you’ve made
thanks for helping make america great!
are you enraged?
did I post enough to save him
while I was still filled with hate
the holy least I could have done
was all the calls I didn’t make
there’s still a riot going on
but not a thing for me to take
I know it’s hard sometimes
cause you could cry or bleed or shout
if there’s no money with that mouth
it’s not the voice we’re hearing out
but we thank god for our freedoms
cause with them we don’t need him
we won’t be here that long
already done away with seasons
and if I don’t convince these pricks
our wit will probably do the trick
they won’t know when the next joke hits
but it’s on them so make it stick
besides I’m not the one to blame
I’m not the one that needs to change
just look at all the difference I’ve made!
I’m sick of this, I give up on this place
